LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri has suggested the White House administration to reconsider its harsh policies towards Pakistan and added that US actions against Pakistan would benefit terrorists.
Addressing an urgent press conference on Friday, Qadri said that integrity of Pakistan was more important than anything else and its countless efforts and sacrifices in the war on terror should be recognised.
He said that it was absurd that the US has put Pakistan on the watch list, whereas, other countries where Muslim genocide has taken place are not being considered for the list.
He said that Pakistan had always remained a sincere partner of US and not any other country apart from Pakistan could have the biggest contribution to the stability of Afghanistan despite the fact that it is a landlocked country.
He added that US was never a friend or partner of Pakistan and both the countries remained in a relation of ‘engagement’. He said that propaganda against Pakistan was regretful.
The PAT chief said that this must be understand that war on terror was a political point of view but not a Pakistan’s belief because terrorism is against humanity and fighting against it is part of religious ideology of Islam.
While responding some queries about the national politics, Qadri said that Nawaz Sharif had served as foreign minister for the last four years during his last tenure so he could not separate himself from the current situation.
He said India and some other countries were irked over ouster of Nawaz Sharif.
He said that not a single member of his party had met rulers and who would try it would be kicked out.
