ISLAMABAD: Former PM Nawaz Sharif is expected to return to Pakistan on Tuesday night, his daughter Maryam Nawaz said in a tweet.
Nawaz, who has been in Saudi Arabia for the last two days, also met Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, Maryam said. Maryam Nawaz also condemned “false” media reports speculating about Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif’s visits to Saudi Arabia. “How many lies will you spew? You have to answer to God too,” she posted on Twitter.
The ruling party has refuted the allegations and said that both enjoy cordial and longstanding relations with Saudi Arabia.
The Sharif family’s spokesman also confirmed on Tuesday that Nawaz and Shehbaz had held a one and a half hour-long meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman late on Monday night.
