ISLAMABAD: Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) on Thursday said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was a national project and it should be separated from politics.
The RCCI urged all the politicians to do away with such statements which were harmful for the project, a statement of RCCI said. Talking to various trade delegations here, RCCI President Raja Aamir Iqbal said that CPEC was indeed a mega trade and national project, the purpose of which was to shift trade goods from North Western area of China Xinjiang to Gawadar Port through railways and motorways in shortest possible time.
He said that the project would prove a game changer for the two countries and it would also help further boosting bilateral relations. He said that no province or political party should raise question about the routes of the project because during All Parties Conference, it was agreed that this mega project should not be made disputed.
