ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain and caretaker Prime Minister (PM) Justice (r) Nasir-ul-Mulk forwards their deep felicitations to all Pakistanis on the occasion of 71st Independence Day.
In his message to the nations, President stated that in order to resolve the country’s political, social, economic and other issues the nation has to rise above its personal and factional interests.
The success of our mother homeland is hidden in the individual participation in the contribution of our national goals and objectives, he added.
He further asserted that Independence Day is the day of the fulfillment of our hopes and aspirations that is why the devotion to honour our national flag increases.
“Pakistan is a haven and a blessing for the Muslims of the subcontinent and was liberated after numerous sacrifices by our forefathers. It is now our responsibility to take our country forward on the path of progress and prosperity,” the president said.
For aspiring the dreams of the founders of this state, all segments of the society have to live together with harmony and brotherhood, Hussain stated.
“It was satisfactory to witness the country’s new generation’ patriotism and their sincere passion for the development and progress of the state,” he said.
President Hussain added that the economic problems and the complex issues of the state can only be overcome by following the teachings of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal.
Prime Minister (PM) Nasir-ul-Mulk, in his message on the occasion, said that August 14 reminds us of the struggle of our forefathers for getting a separate homeland for the Muslims of the sub-continent where they could live their lives according to their religious, cultural and social values.
Justice Mulk further said that a commitment with Quaid’s principle of ‘Unity, Faith, and Discipline’ can help us overcome our present-day challenges and make Pakistan a self-reliant, economically vibrant and a prosperous country.
